What Coaches Say
Jevon Yapi is an elite playmaker. He has the ball on a string and can create for himself and others. He is a three-level scorer with the ability to shoot both off the dribble and the pass. He can play both on and off the ball as the team needs, but is at his best with the ball in his hands. His teammates love playing with him, and he is a very coachable player. Jevon has always been a part of winning teams, winning multiple state titles in high school and being a part of winning teams at Eastern Florida. He will be a tremendous asset to any team he is a part of.
Jevon is one of the most skilled scorers I have been around, including during my time at Vanderbilt. His ability to create his own shot and break defenders down is high-level. He is coming off a productive first year, and I expect him to make a big jump in Year 2. I believe he is already a D1 player, but after one more year where he can really showcase his ability, I believe he will blow up.
